We'd offer you a cup of coffee or tea but we haven't got the logistics worked out for that yet. Let us introduce ourselves to you. Gateway Harvest Fellowship (formerly the Barrie Vineyard) is an evangelical charismatic network of house churches in the Barrie, Ontario area. Regarding being a network of house churches, maybe we'll leave that to be discussed under Vision and Values as well as under Articles. We are called "Gateway", because we believe that Barrie, in many ways, is a gateway to the north and "Harvest" because God is now bringing in a great harvest of lives into his Kingdom of love and power around the world and we long to partner with Him in this great and noble enterprise. In fact, we are connected with a larger family of churches called Partners in Harvest of which the Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship is "the mothership". In January of 1994, a fresh and powerful outpouring of the Holy Spirit took place at the Toronto Airport church which continues to have a rippling effect around the world to this day. We are a bunch of fellow travellers in life who, somewhere along the way, have been apprehended by the indescribable love and beauty of Jesus Christ. Now, together, as we "stumble heavenward" we are seeking to follow Him and become like Him by His grace; His Spirit transforming us from the inside out. Hopefully, in the process, we are becoming more real and less religious! We are far from perfect but we are getting to know the One who is!
