Jerry Steingard:

education:
MRC Diploma (to work with the developmentally challenged), Georgian College, Barrie, ON, 1975
BA in Religion, Canadian Nazarene College, Winnipeg, Manitoba, 1978
Master of Divinity, Regent College, Vancouver B.C. 1983
Doctor of Practical Ministry, 2010, Wagner Leadership Institute
Raised in Barrie in a Christian family (brother to Connie Sinnott of Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship), filled with the Spirit during the Jesus Movement days of the early 70's where he led home Bible studies and evangelistic coffee houses.

As well as a number of years as a bus driver and truck driver, Jerry has over 20 years of formal pastoral experience, being involved with the Church of the Nazarene, the Vineyard, and Partners in Harvest. Jerry has been in leadership in 6 different churches in Ontario as well as British Columbia and has served in various roles: as a youth pastor, interim pastor, associate pastor, co-pastor, a church planter, and senior pastor.

After being an associate pastor and worship leader with John Arnott for 2 years in Stratford, ON, Jerry became the senior pastor with John moving to Toronto in 1992. After the 1994 outpouring of the Spirit, Jerry took renewal teams from his church to various cities in Canada as well as 7 different countries over the next few years. Jerry and his family have just completed a 3 year sabbatical which involved hosting a Christian retreat centre and helping to operate a beef cattle farm. In the summer of 2002, the Steingards moved to Barrie, Ontario where Jerry is pastoring Gateway Harvest Fellowship (a PIH church) and helping to transition it to the house church format. Jerry has taught on Revival history at the School of Ministry for a number of years and also teaches Revival & Church History, Christian Doctrine, and World Religions and Cults at the TACF School of Biblical Studies.

Jerry's heart is to see the five-fold ministries arise to equip, empower, and release an army of saints into their God-given calling and destiny. He longs to see God's manifest presence and glory come and bring city wide and national revival with signs and wonders, church unity, a great harvest, and saturation church planting in every neighbourhood and nation in this kairos time.
